Before DARKSCAN thier were two guys who met in High School. They always dreamed of creating video games that were better then the ones that they were currently playing, or incorperated elements from multiple titles. In the nearly constraint free college environent these two friend embarked on an extraciricular joyney to learn how to develop video games. Their journey took them through dozens of computer programming books on OpenGL, DirectX, C++, and a little program called 3D studio Max.
Video games exact the highest demands from a personal computer that most users face. Complex three dimensional modeling, full screen video and sound, real-time physics calculations, and dozens of other very mathmatically intensive operations. Developing programs that are so demanding have a tendency of giving the developers a skill set unlike many in other fields. The fusion of art and technology.
As the years progressed and our founders skills increased, other, seemingly strange aplications for their specific skill set began to emerge. Proffesors from universities, and Engineers from industry both needed good ways of conveying their very technical ideas to others. In steps the interesting mix of abilities, and a new avenue of inovation opens up.
Now with a new client base and purpose, one of technical presentation, a new set of skills needed to be added to the mix. The internet provides a huge marketplace for showing ideas and conveying information with the world, and this marketplace is of great interst to our clients. In come PHP, and SQL, Java, and Javascript, HTML, Perl, etc. etc. So now our basket of abilities is getting pretty big, and that is why our founders started DARKSCAN to help more people with their technical presentations.
